On Friday I was going to a shop in Tughlakabad extension along with Manik, at a distance I saw people gathering at the red light. I though there must have been an accident and when I came near the red light I saw a cyclist lying face first in the middle of the road.

There were two Delhi police officers in front of me riding without helmet on a scooter; I thought they would stop to assist that poor fellow. When they saw the cyclist in such condition they slowed downed for a few second and then drove off like nothing had happened!

I was totally shocked by their indifference towards that accident, heck normal citizens were trying to help that poor soul, while those who are actually paid to do this were busy shopping, well in their case I guess haggling that poor fruit shop owner!

I had heard stories of the indifferent attitude of Delhi Police but this was the first live example. I guess it would be a fitting end for that duo if one day they were found lying in the middle of the road with no one willing to help them!
