The other day I was talking to one of my friends and he mentioned that his cousin who lives in the UK was mentioning something about a solar powered car battery charger.

A solar powered car battery charger? (that’s rubbish I thought)

At that time I simply ignored what he was saying, because he has a habit of blubbering stuff that isn’t half true. However when I came back home, I was still wondering if such a thing actually existed. A quick search on google and I came across this site selling car battery chargers, which actually stocked these solar powered chargers.

A quick glance at the specs of their cheapest and the lightest model showed that this 15.5” x 5.0” x 0.8” big solar panel, weighing in at a mare half a kilo could actually charge a 12v battery!

Now that’s a cool gadget to have and useful too if you have the habit of not driving your car/motorcycle for months.

Another thing I found interesting on that site was Dodo Juice, don’t worry they aren’t killing any Dodo birds (like there are any left), it is actually a type of wax manufactured in UK and claims to leave your motorcycle shining like its new.

It seems UK has some cool gadgets that we can certainly use here in India.
