This is what happens in the business world as well, for instance if my top marketing guy isn’t delivering or is ill, I wouldn’t fire him. However I wouldn’t give him an account which is of utmost importance to my company. I would let him do smaller accounts till his bad phase/illness is over and only then put him on the spot. It is better to understand a bad deal and cut your losses and move on, then to keep investing in a lost cause and keep on loosing! Ps. Next time refrain from using this kind of tone while commenting on my blog, I have approved the comment for now but any further comments in such tone wouldn’t be approved! And in a job if next month you fall ill or are not able to deliver your performance, ask your boss to fire you because your not being able to deliver to the best does not increases the stock price of your company.
