Video of Drang Drung Glacier

Here is a video of Drang Drung Glacier which I shot in 2006 in Ladakh. This is the largest glacier in Ladakh and this is also where the famous Stod Rive originates from.

Even in September when rest of Zanskar Valley is relatively warm, high velocity winds coming from Drang Drung gives you a chilling reminder of the fact this magnificent structure is actually made of snow and is quite cold!

My friend and I rode a 750cc BMW motorcycle from Kargil to Padum and back in 1981.

Not much seems to have changed at this point of the road but I believe there have been many other changes over the past 27 years.

I often wish I could do the trip again. Dream.
