Night shots of the motorcycle spot lamp at work

Here are few photographs of the spot lamp that I got installed on my motorcycle on Sunday.

Here is a photograph of the low beam of my motorcycle, remember I am using Avenger coil with 55/60W halogen:

Here is the photograph of the spot lamp at work, it uses a 55w H3 Halogen.

As you can see, the problem with it is, the beam is spreads out too wide. However with the low beam + spot lamp combination, there is enough light to make night cruising a breeze and enable me to see on the shoulder of the road and this is how I intend to use this setup.

  1. can u post the standard 35w bulb’s light along with this for better comparison??

  2. Pravin the standard 35W headlamp produces ~30% power than the 60W headlamp on my bike. Will have to check if I have the 35W lamp or not.

  3. Nice photos. Please tell more about the spotlight you used and where and how you mounted it. It seems by the width of the beam that is more of a foglight. …..oh, ok, I found the photos of it on the bike.

So,…I’m just listening to Sri Banke Bihari aarti on their website, and I did a google search to see if I could find somewhere to download it…and your blog came up in the search results, and I remembered reading your blog about the headlight upgrade – I have a Pulsar 180 UG3 …and I go to Vrindavan sometimes. So at last I find a biker blog / a Pulsar blog, where Vrindavan is appreciated. :-)
