Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-Fi with four valves?
Ever since Bajaj Pulsar 180 was first launched in its classic form on 23rd November 2001, it has been a subject of constant updates and upgrades.
In fact, less than 23 months after its launch, Bajaj Pulsar 180 was rechristened as the Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi with twin digital spark ignition and various other updated cycle parts and since then, it has witnessed two more updates, with the present model coming out in October 2006.
Going by the history and frequency of updates from Bajaj Auto, this year we should see another updated version of Pulsar 180.
An upgraded version of Pulsar 180 is all the more important this year, due to the fact that it is now not only facing threats from inside (from Pulsar family), it would also be facing stiff competition from the likes of TVS Apache 160 RTR EFI, which is expected to be launched in the middle of this year.
With a 160cc motorcycle delivering almost as much power as the current Pulsar 180, Bajaj Auto has to ensure that the Pulsar family once again is the leader in the segment, in not only power and VFM, but also in innovation and technology.
Apart from tweaking the ignition curve and working on various other engine parts, to make them lighter and more efficient, the Bajaj Auto’s R&D team would certainly be looking at making the Pulsar 180 Fuel Injected and we just might get to see the Pulsar engine being upgraded from a two valve one to a four valve one.
Something which Bajaj Auto has already done with Bajaj XCD Sprint and Bajaj Blade, which despite having similar capacity engine as the Bajaj XCD, produce couple of extra horses.
If Mr. Joseph and his team at Chakan can once again work their magic, we might just see Pulsars once again becoming the de facto performance motorcycle in 150-220cc category!
So do you think we will get to see the Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-Fi with four valves this year?

why 200cc model is not availabe in 180cc ? Make it will give u shocking sale. i also wanted same dear but now it not availabe then i should go 180cc but i m not happy .
hi and hello everyone/./. i am having puls 150 cc.., an excellent exp really,.,, if anyone ride pulsar,., he never switch over to any brand.,., but the only minus which i feel in this is LESS SUSPENSION.,., if they introduce monosuspension as like as unicorn., then it will give more credits to it..,,.
dts true sharan dt if they launch d bike wid a monosusepension it wud pul up der sales………n i guess Bajaj need 2 work a bit more on the luks of d pulsar…also d gear shift needs engineern….

I have a Pulser 150. Being an engineer and a NRI who come to Gugarat on a regular basis, I have never looked back on this brillent machine. Having learnt to ride on a Hero Honda I would never consider going back to it. It feels like a toy.
hi, m owing pulsar 180 2008 model.
my bike is consuming engine oil in heavy amount.during the last service of my bike, the bike engineer find only 200 ml oil left in the bike n bike is also producing visible smoke. all the services of my bike are done on time at pulsar authorized workshop.
please tell me the problem n suggest me solution.
