MTV Roadies 5.0, the game goes international
MTV Roadies is a reality TV show made by MTV India. Despite having Hero Honda as the primary sponsors, it is far from being a bike/travel oriented reality show, and instead focuses mainly on the bitching and sexual tension between contestants with a lame version of fear factor thrown in.
However the show has been quite successful and is in its 5th season, with no sign of loosing charm or viewer ship. In fact if any thing, it is actually getting more and more popular, much to the frustration of “bikers†who feel this show is bad for their “imageâ€.
While I do tend to agree with them to the extent that MTV Roadies isn’t a motorcycle or a travel reality show, I do think their fear is unfounded and sort of comes from their own personal need to project themselves as a “biker†in the eyes of the common junta.
Any ways, coming back to the roadies. The March 22nd episode brought quite a few surprises with it, including the departure of Anmol from the show and the comeback of Prabhjot. Which I felt was rather unfortunate and kind of staged; because there was no way Anmol could have competed successfully against Prabhjot in the plank cutting task.
Now there are rumors that Ankita would also come back this week and Shambhavi would be sent back. If this happens, it would be rather unfortunate and would in a way take half the fun out of this season of roadies, because whether people like it or not, Shambhavi has been dominating the show.
While the final results would only be known towards the end of the show, there are rumors flying that Ashutosh has won Roadies 5.0, which doesn’t seem far fetched seeing how smartly he has been playing all this while.
Who do you think is going to win roadies?

One of the most useless shows I have ever come across on TV in my life! This show is so disgusting that the moment it appears on MTV, I feel like changing the tv channel instantlym Full of abusive language from the hosts and defamation of character on the innocent participants who do not know the law of the land.A misleading show with deception & cheating. I would have sued the show owners & the hosts if this conmpany had foundation in the United States of America. Amardeep Singh Gill, Esq. Gill & Associates, P.C.,
