Reliance to launch mobile phone services in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh
Reliance Communications is planning to launch its mobile phone services in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in next couple of months:
A top company source told Business Standard that Reliance would emerge as the most favourite cellular service provider in the state, with its extensive network not only in the Jammu and Kashmir region but in entire Ladakh, bordering China. With its 700 towers, the company has managed to cover even the remote areas of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Uri, Kupwara, Baramulla and Leh-Ladakh.
Reliance has covered the entire national highway right from Lakhanpur at Punjab border to Srinagar and Uri. It has also laid reliance network chord (R-chord) to provide quality internet services to its customers in J&K. This chord has already been laid from Punjab border to Jammu, Srinagar and up to Sonamarg which is on the Srinagar-Leh highway.
All the major tourist destinations including Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Patnitop and Yusmarg have been covered besides important pilgrimage sites including Katra Mata Vaishnodevi, Chara-e-Sharief, Khir Bhawani. Those visiting Shri Amarnath ji pilgrimage would also benefit from the service to larger extent.
The broad band facility to the customers will be available shortly after the launch of cellular service. It has started the process of erecting 144 towers in the Ladakh region where no other private player could reach so far. A special team of experts in the Reliance Group are in Kashmir to supervise work on this most difficult mountainous region of Ladakh.

This not only means more choices not only for the residents of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, but also for the tourists like us, who till now had to rely upon Airtel and BSNL for connectivity.
Well sorry to say but Airtel has already done that
Start services very soon so that we are benefited as early as possible from your better plans.Towers have already been erected for a long time & I donot understand why there is so much delay.I am happy that a better service provider with better plans is starting its service in our state too.
we welcome reliance in the valley,we r very glad that reliance has setup towers in kashmir.have been hoping from a long time it will start working in valley……every next day it turns out to be a dream but i dont know when this dream will cherish thousands of telecom{reliance} lovers.
i just dont understand why they r nt starting the service in the kashmir…people not only in kashmir but also in other parts of india are eagerly waiting for them to svtart the service soon.
this will benifit both reliance telecom as well as people of kashmir,,,
when i heard that reliance had decided to start its service in kashmir. i was very happy. but now they had completed all the work of towers, but since now they are not launching their service. i request them to launch their service as soon as possible because we all are not satisfied with the internet facility of airtel as well as BSNL. so please do something.

I am eagerly waiting for Reliacne to come in Our state for ur better plans and for broadband connection, BSNL is also providing this facility but it is not working properly so do start service as fast as possible ,,,,,..
i am wasting for reliance communications services to be launched as early as possible so that people can be benefited by ur telecoms services & some various persons will get benifted by ur jobs & new recruitments i am also searching for a job. so plz start ur services as soon as possible
