Khardung La and Nubra Valley still inaccessible on motorcycle
According to fellow BCMTourer Kehsav, who is in Leh right now, while Khardung La is open for vehicular traffic, it is still not accessible on motorcycle due to large amount of snow on either side, a fact confirmed by another traveler currently in Leh.

Yogesh, Any idea about Leh-Manali route? I read news reports that it is open, but Leh’s official website(leh.nic.in) says it is still closed. Anyone you know who has taken this route this year?
Arun I have heard a few unconfirmed reports that Manali – Leh route has opened (mainly a local saying on orkut that road is open and a small Mumbai based online news portal reporting Baralacha La is open)
However officially I haven’t heard any confirmation from travelers in Leh, travel operators in Manali or any major main stream news agency.
