Review of Uniross Rechargeable Batteries
I have been using Uniross Rechargeable Batteries for almost four years now; in fact I first bought Uniross Rechargeable Batteries and Uniross Globe Trotter Pocket Charger when I got my first real digital camera.
During this time, I have owned a total of 4 pairs of Uniross nimh batteries, ranging from 2100mah to 2300mah. Out of which, only the first two pairs are now not functioning, because of the numerous amounts of recharges they had to go through to keep up with the number of photographs I take.

Uniross Rechargeable Batteries have provided me top notch performance and even though I have used Eveready and Fuji Rechargeable batteries along with them, I felt Uniross performance was better than the other two.
They have been dependable and have not only provided decent battery backup, they have also managed to retain their charge for weeks, even when left inside the camera.
Overall I have been quite satisfied with them and I am planning to get two more pairs of Uniross 2500mah batteries next month for my upcoming trip.

Nice REview but some numbers would help. Like how many shots per charge for this and how many for competition?
Also you can take this opportunity to review various technologies in rechargeable batteries. How it were Alkaline now they are NiMh and now moving to NiCd.
Am I demanding? Yes! of course, if I do not expect good and deep reviews from you who would I expect it from? Ugesh Sarkar’s fans?
Shots per charge depend on various things, however with the old Kodak CX7430, I was easily getting around ~250 shots from the 2300mah Uniross battery.
Haven’t had the chance to test the capabilities of my new cam (A720IS), but based on the kind of backup I got from the 2100mah Uniross batteries (charged for the first time), I am guessing that number would easily climb to 300-400+, since I must have taken 200+ photos and videos (around half of them with flash) and used the LCD a lot to review photographs and other features, before the low battery sign finally came up.
With regards to others, well 2700mah Fuji rechargeable batteries had a similar performance to the 2300mah Uniross that is when they would work properly.
Eveready 2100mah performed quite well, in fact its performance was similar to that of 2100mah Uniross, but its life got over before the Uniross ones, even though all three pairs were purchased at the similar time. Not really sure if I used it more than the Uniross ones, but overall I did like it a lot.
I don’t really use Alkaline batteries that much, since in the long run they turn out to be expensive (can’t be recharged), never used Nicad since it was old tech and they are known for memory effect.
