Rapidshare shuts its door for BSNL and MTNL subscribers!
Since yesterday, people who use BSNL and MTNL internet connections aren’t able to access Rapidshare.de, a popular file sharing site.
If one tries to access rapidshare, the following error message is shown:
Massive RapidShare hack attempts detected. IP block 59.170.0.0 – 59.189.255.255 blocked. Please call your internet provider.
There are also reports that ips from middle-east countries have been blocked by rapidshare as well.
While it is imperative that to stop hacking attempts, rapidshare had to take some action, however blocking such a large number of ip addresses isn’t the way to go and would only undermine its popularity and success.
