UPS Battery in Pulsar Motorcycle, 15 month review
It has been a little over 15 months since I first got the 7 amp Exide UPS Battery installed in my Bajaj Pulsar 180 motorcycle and it has been working wonderfully since then.
I haven’t yet faced any major problem, though with 55w spot lamp being directly connected to the battery, it is put under pressure sometime and it becomes apparent with the horn not functioning to the fullest while the motorcycle is on idle. But then again, I am using a 7 amp battery in a motorcycle which originally came with a 9 amp battery and didn’t have a spot lamp.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance and the fact that it is absolutely maintenance free and hasn’t required anything to be done since I installed it, makes it an even better deal. Since the normal battery lasts for any where between 2-3 years and costs twice as much, I have already gotten out my moneys worth and the longer this UPS battery lasts, the sweeter the deal would become!

Hi Yogesh, I too am now using the Exide UPS 7amp battery in my Pulsar. Thanks a ton for the advice:-)
I have a question, can I use an Exide UPS battery in TVS scooty ? I think the Scooty has 5amp battery. Kindly advice.
Main problem is going to be fitting the larger battery, if it can be done, then no problem at all.
