Saying goodbye to K700i
My Sony Ericsson K700i phone died today, this is the second time in four years it has died, while I got it fixed last time when my backup phone also died, I am not planning to get it fixed this time.
I bought this K700i for Rs. 17,000 (US$ 350) four years back and today it is worth nothing! While I did used the mp3 player and camera it had occasionally, it was mainly used for phone calls and sms. Considering this, I am planning to get a cheap mobile phone which excels in these two functions and doesn’t burn a hole in the pocket. After all, once you buy a mobile phone, it is worth almost next to nothing few months down the line, so for me it doesn’t makes sense to buy an expensive mobile, considering that I rarely need an mp3 player or phone camera or for that matter browse the internet on mobile.
Hopefully I’ll have my new phone by tomorrow afternoon and till then, I won’t be reachable through phone or sms.
