The Pink Panther 2 review
Today I saw The Pink Panther 2; it is a nice comedy movie about a stupid French Detective, Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin). Who ends up solving cases due to sheer luck and is much hated by his boss, Chief Inspector Dreyfus (John Cleese).
Jacques Clouseau is included in ‘The Dream Team’ comprising of police officers from around the world, who are entrusted with the job of capturing Tornado, a thief who has been involved in many high profile thefts, including that of Pink Panther (a gem).
What follows is a riot of comedy and an interesting end with a twist, though I personally felt that the twist came just too suddenly towards the end and before you know it, the case is solved!
Apart from this small hitch, it is a nice comedy movie to watch though certainly not as funny as its predecessor.
Aishwarya Rai’s role though smaller than what I had hoped for, is quite important to the story and she adds plenty of glamour to the story and looks gorgeous as ever.
Overall, The Pink Panther 2 is movie that you will much appreciate if you love comedy movies and is certainly worth watching. Though Clouseau’s accent is a bit hard to digest at times but adds that essential French flavor to the movie.
