Ring road at Night

Yesterday while riding back from BCMT meet, I decided to stop for a little bit of long exposure photography, a little after Dhaula Kuan (towards Naraina).

Though as usual I was carrying my camera with me (I almost always do), I didn’t haveĀ  tripod and that ended up being a bit of a handicap. However with the help of the footpath (sidewalk), I got what I wanted, and here it is:

After reaching home I realized, that I probably shouldn’t have left the white balance in Auto mode, because of which I didn’t get the kind of colors I wanted. However, I am still satisfied with the shot in genera, granted I wasn’t carrying a tripod with me.

Maybe now I should also start carrying a tripod or at least a table top tripod with me at all times.

  1. Yogesh, get a gorillapod, you can even clamp it to your bike and use it as a tripod ;-) And about the white balance thingy, use RAW and no worries about WB anymore.

  2. Thanks Kaushik, yes planning to buy one soon.
