Panorama of Jaisamand Lake, Udaipur

Here is a Panorama of the Jaisamand Lake in Udaipur (also known as Dhebar Lake) I shot during my last month trip to Udaipur.

Jaisamand Lake is Asia’s second largest man made lake and was created in the 17th century by Rana Jai Singh of Udaipur, when he was building a marble dam across the Gomati River. Jaisamnd Lake is spread over 50 km (20 sq mi) and is quite a sight to behold.

Without further delay, here is the Panorama (click to enlarge).

The above Panorama is made up of seven photographs I shot in the panorama mode of my Canon A720IS digital camera (hand held) and were later merged through the Canon Photo Stitch software, which resulted in a mammoth image size of 13341 x 2064pixels, enough pixels to print three and a half feet wide good quality photograph (don’t worry above linked image is much smaller in size)!
