Photography outing to Qutub Minar and Garden of Five Senses

Yesterday morning I went to Qutub Minar and Garden of Five Senses in Delhi, for a photography meet/walk that had been organized for BCMTouring members.

18 members turned up for the meet and that too at 5:30AM on a Sunday! Not only were we the only tourist/photographers around at that time, but also managed to arrive well before the ticket counter had opened and thus had to wait for a while before the ticket counter opened.

However that gave us a chance to satisfy our creative urges on the outside of Qutub Minar and in the parking lot, where I managed to capture this photograph of a direction board.

By 6:15AM the counter opened and we got the chance to go inside and start shooting what we had come for, Qutub Minar.

Play of light was just fantastic at this hour and managed to shine even this ruined gate in such a manner that it looked as if it was just recently built!

After having our fill of photography at Qutub Minar and a light breakfast at a nearby dhaba, we headed to Garden of Five Senses, where flowers and butterflies welcomed us and gave ample opportunity for photography.

Here is a photograph of a Tiger Butterfly

While there are many more photographs I would love to share, but that would only ensure that this page becomes too heavy to open. So you can see photographs clicked by me and other BCMT Photogs at this thread, Qutub Minar and Garden of 5 Senses.

I will soon make a proper photo gallery to share these photographs.
