Medicines for Ladakh flood victims

Yesterday, the final part of our first phase of support for Ladakh flood victims ended with the departure of medicines.

I received 28 boxes full of medicines, early in the morning at my home and then was left with the job of getting their boxes into shape to make them ready for the journey to Leh. Due to the humidity of Delhi at the moment, some of the boxes were in quite bad condition and we had to use 4 rolls of packaging tape on them and 9 other boxes (8 were brought in by Doc Pushpinder in the afternoon).

Here is a photograph of the 28 boxes of medicines, which had arrived in the morning.

Finally after 8 hours of labor, in which my sis pitched in as well, we finally got the boxes ready and were able to see them off by midnight.

37 boxes and 1 gunny sack, containing medicines worth Rs. 115,200 (few thousand rupees left, which will be used in second phase) in the back of a Tata 407 truck.
