Wishing everyone a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid Mubarak, both of which are being celebrated side by side in India today, though a few places did celebrate Eid yesterday.
Ganesh Chaturthi always brings back memory of my first trip to Ladakh and the day I reached Leh for the first time, since en route we encountered a Ganesh Chaturthi procession being lead out by the Indian Army and we were not only blessed enough to witness it towards the end of the most difficult stretch of our trip, but also get blessed by Ganesh ji, in the form of a small tilak, which a soldier put on my forehead, as soon as I took the below photograph.
