Just received my Canon Edge welcome kit, which Canon DSLR buyers in India get for free after registering at CanonEdge.com, along with one year extended warranty, membership card, discount coupon for future Canon purchase, free photography class and one time free sensor and lens cleaning at Canon service center. This is what Canon India gives, to lure customers to buying from legal channels, rather than gray market, which is usually cheaper though shoddier affair.
Canon Edge Welcome Kit essentially contained a welcome letter and a small bag from Canon, which can be either used as sling bag or as as waist pouch. It is large enough to fit my Canon EOS 1000D DSLR with 18-55IS lens and I guess an extra lens or external flash as well (not too big), several memory cards with cases, small size blower etc.
Padding though not of the similar level and quality as those of high priced camera bags, seems sufficient enough for normal usage. Though I might just be getting another bag or maybe even a dedicated lens bag, when I buy extra lenses.
Overall, not a bad deal, considering all I paid was Rs. 22,200 for my DSLR.

I have buy a Canon EOS 50D Digital Camera last two months ago but I need a kit to handle the camera,then I confirm at the showroom for recieving my camera kit but I have been not recieved.They inform me about the registration of a kit by opening http://www.cononedge.com site which I have been submitted last two times which have been failed. Are you sure you got 18-55 IS (image stabilizing) lens?
I enquired in many places here in Bangalore and such a kit with IS lens is not available. The one supplied with kit is a non-IS lens.

Sauabh, you can put the DSLR attached with the kit lens and even 55-250Is lens in the bag, sideways. Apart from the DSLR and kit lens, it can carry 55-250IS and 50mm f1.8 lenses as well (personally tested).
Having said that, I do not use it too often these days, since I have bought a Tamrac backpack.

I want to buy the bag that’s been shown in the picture for my Canon 550D DSLR. I searched for the bag in all major shops at Delhi and also online, but couldn’t find. Please help!!
Shamim, Canon is no longer giving this bag for free. They now give this bag along with DSLRs. You should be able to find older Canon bag at Chandni Chowk’s photography market.
Having said that, neither of these are worth buying. You would be better off buying this Lowepro Shoulder Bag, which isn’t really expensive.
