Surajkund Handicraft Mela is all set to begin from the 1st of February 2011, at the Surajkund Fair Ground and like previous years, I would be once again heading to the fair, which I have come to love and enjoy over the years.
This is mainly due to the fact that Surajkund Handicraft Fair presents photography enthusiasts like me, with multitude of photography opportunities and with a newly acquired DSLR and Telephoto Lens (Canon EOS 1000D and Canon EF-S 55-250IS lens), I can’t wait to shoot the performances which take place on stage, during the fair and had been somewhat hard to shoot with the less zoom range of my earlier digital camera (Canon A720IS).
Of course that does not means that one can not shoot performances, without a telephoto lens, in fact at most of off stage performances, one needs the basic kit lens to be able to shoot performers, who are dancing/playing just a few feet away from you, not to mention so many macro photography opportunities, in form of the handicrafts on sale!
Like earlier years, I would be heading to the fair with fellow BCMTians, on most likely the first Sunday of February, so in case you too are interested in joining, please feel free to leave a comment below.
Here is an attached place mark for Google Earth so you can reach Surajkund easily and for those using Google maps or GPS, here are the coordinates, 28°29’17.90″N, 77°16’56.45″E.
