Tomorrow is the unveiling of Kailasa, a coffee table book on Kailash Mansarovar by Shamim Akhtar, he is the same chap who had authored, Road to Heaven, Ladakh.
If Road to Heaven, Ladakh is anything to go by, then I can’t wait to get a hold of a copy of Kailasa, which features a landscape I have thus far only seen on TV and heard about in Hindu Holy Scriptures.
As an icing on the cake, after the unveiling of Kailasa, there will be a screening of a 38 minute shot film on Kailash Mansarovar as well. I would likely be attending the unveiling of the book and screening of the shot film, along with fellow BCMTians and would post more info, once I am back, followed by a review of the book.
In case you too are interested in attending the unveiling, then you can visit Shanti Stupa at Indraprastha Park in New Delhi, tomorrow (30-1-11) evening at 7, where this book would be unveiled.
