I just received an email from Yahoo, announcing their decision to discontinue MyBlogLog.
Dear MyBlogLog Customer,
You have been identified as a customer of Yahoo! MyBlogLog. We will officially discontinue Yahoo! MyBlogLog effective May 24, 2011. Your agreement with Yahoo!, to the extent that it applies to the Yahoo! MyBlogLog, will terminate on May 24, 2011.
After May 24, 2011 your credit card will no longer be charged for premium services on MyBlogLog. We will refund you the unused portion of your subscription, if any. The refund will appear as a credit via the billing method we have on file for you. To make sure that your billing information is correct and up to date, visit https://billing.yahoo.com.
Even though I had signed up at MyBlogLog several years ago, I never quite used it and when ever I had added it to this blog and my other sites, I almost always ended up removing it in a matter of days, owing mainly to my obsession with ensuring that my sites loaded as fast as they could.
Of course due to this, I never quite got many viewers from it and could really never understand any other usage for it, other than to get few link backs and know which people were visiting my sites frequently (who were signed up for this service). And I guess this was one of the main reason, why it is being discontinued now.
If you too were a member of MyBlogLog, then I would love to hear your views on this service, which I never could understand completely.
