This review about Flipkart’s online shopping store is in continuation from my initial experience about them, which I had posted about a few days ago, when I had received the first batch from the 11 books I had ordered from them last week.
After the first batch comprising of 3 books was delivered to me on Tuesday, on Wednesday I received the second batch comprising of 7 books and finally on the Thursday, I received the one remaining book, Gitanjali by Rabindra Nath Tagore, a book for which I had only shelled out Rs. 28!
All the books were delivered by Flipkart’s own deliveryman and contained bookmarks and were neatly packed, first in an airtight plastic wrap and then in cardboard box to ensure that the books didn’t get damaged in transit. All throughout the order and delivery process, I was kept appraised about the status of my order by timely emails and sms updates.
To me, this speaks volume about the level of professionalism with which Flipkart’s management is running their online shopping site and is ensuring customer satisfaction, even at the expense of spending more on shipping by delivering books in batches to ensure that the customer gets his hands on at least part of the order, as soon as possible.
Add that to a simple and easy to navigate interface on their website and prices which are quite competitive, and you have an online store, which you know you would keep going back to, for majority of your shopping needs!
In fact, Flipkart for now has become my favorite online shopping site and I would soon be posting a comparison of it with a few other shopping sites, I regularly order from.
