Delhi is one of the greenest cities in India and one of the primary reason why Delhi is so green is due to the fact that not only monuments are protected and maintained by the Archeological Survey of India and Delhi Government, but also their extended parks and lawns, which provide refuge and sustenance to varied variety of flora and fauna.
Qutub Minar in this aspect is no different and plays hosts to various birds, which roam freely and boldly throughout its green cover and provide photogs like me an opportunity to bring out our big guns, when we tire of shooting with our wide angle lenses, which is what we did yesterday morning as well.
Here are a few bird photographs I managed to capture with the modest range of my Canon 55-250IS telephoto lens. All the images below are linked to higher resolution versions, so click on them to see them in their full glory
Kites fighting
A Crow looking curiously
Kite landing on top of a gumbad
Kite flying
A Parrot posing
A Pigon
I will be posting a few more interesting shots tomorrow, so stay tuned :).
