Sygic MapmyIndia Android App now free

sygic-mapmyindia-android-app Sygic’s GPS Navigation App for Android, which uses MapmyIndia GPS Maps for India (one of the best GPS maps), is now available for free at Google Play Store. Not too long ago I had spent Rs. 299 to buy this App and that too when a discount scheme was going on.

Now I am not quite sure whether or not this is a permanent move by Sygic, to counter Google Maps which now offer navigation facility in India. However it is a tempting enough offer that I availed yesterday on my sister’s mobile phone and I would recommend everyone with an Android phone to avail ASAP!

Coming to Sygic MapmyIndia Navigation System, it is quite a good navigation app and something I use on a regular basis to navigate within and outside Delhi. Especially since it does not need any internet connection to provide navigation facility (once you download appropriate maps), though without data connection, traffic updates aren’t available in real time.

For those looking to download MapmyIndia Maps for navigation in Ladakh, well it should work as long as you are visiting places like Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso and even Zanskar Valley, however in case of Tso Moriri and other remote and off beat places, only villages are listed and not roads.

Overall it is a nice navigation system and best of all, it is now available for free! (Click here to visit it on play store.)
