BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 Review

After using EAS 100% Whey for past couple of years, this time around, I decided to buy Vitamin Shoppe’s BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 protein powder.

bodytech-whey-tech-pro-24-chocolate Whey Tech Pro 24 was not only available for less than EAS 100% Whey, but it also had much higher protein percentage, 81.6% vs. 66.6%. This means for someone like me, who is on 1,800 calorie diet, 24gm of protein is being provided in 120 calories with just 1gm of fat and 3gm of carbohydrates vs. 26gm of protein in 150 calories in EAS. While the difference might sound miniscule, however while dieting, every little bit counts.

The downside is, Whey Tech Pro 24 does not have any Glutamine, while EAS had 1630mg of it per serving. Also it only contains 4800mg of BCAAs, while EAS 100% Whey had 6300mg. So if these things matter to you, it would be a good idea to pay a little more and get the EAS 100% Whey. For me, it isn’t really all that important, as long as I am getting enough protein in my diet, without eating too many calories.

As far as taste is concerned, I bought the chocolate flavored Whey Tech Pro 24 and although it isn’t as tasty as EAS 100% Whey, it isn’t really bad, but could have been better.

BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 mixes as easily as EAS Whey protein, when I try and mix it in water using my Healthkart Shaker.

Overall I felt BodyTech Whey Tech Pro 24 was quite a good option at the price and since it is supposed to be manufactured by Optimum Nutrition, I guess it is a quality product as well. Having said that, I would love to see Whey Tech Pro 24 coming with little more BCAAs and maybe a little less price, especially considering that is only in past few months that the prices of protein powders has gone up by few hundred rupees.
