I came back from my 6th trip to Ladakh on Sunday. This was a fairly special trip for me due to various reasons, not the least being the fact that it came almost a decade after my first trip to Ladakh. This was also the first trip of mine when I used flight, taxi, tempo traveler, motorcycle and even the mighty Mercedes G55 AMG as my transport!
During this trip I was testing out Canon’s brand new EOS 5DsR, 50 megapixel full frame DSLR along with EF11-24L and EF100-400L II lenses (reviews coming soon). These came in quite handy during landscape photography and also when I was covering Hemis Monastery Festival, which I saw for the first time in my life!
This time around I was also traveling with a huge group of 60 people; all managed by LadakhEscapes.com, so traveling with such a huge group and that too in Ladakh was quite an experience as well.
Overall I had quite a bit of fun and I learned quite a lot from this trip as well and more importantly, I came back with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and head full of lovely memories, which I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I also managed to lay the ground work for my upcoming photo tour to Ladakh, details of which will be coming out soon, so watch this space for reviews, travelogue and the photo tour :).
