Captain Marvel is one of those gems of a movie, which seems much better than anticipated, despite having huge expectations from it.
After all, it is a Marvel Movie and on top of it, Captain Marvel is the last Avenger or rather the first Avenger and the crucial link in the run-up to Avengers Endgame.
Also unlike the earlier Avengers movies or movies dedicated to individual members of Avengers, the story does not seem to be dragging even for a second.
Captain Marvel is based on Marvel Comics’ character, Captain Marvel aka. Carol Danvers aka. Vers.
Vers wakes up with a dream and full of emotions at Hala, the primary planet of Kree, a race of noble warrior heroes, who are at war with the dastardly Skrulls.
A Skrulls ambush leads to the capture of Vers and after having her memory probed by Skrulls, she manages to escape to the Planet C-83 aka. Earth, where she discovers her past life and (spoiler alert) a web of lies, which she has been living for the past 6 years.
She teams up with Agent Fury and what follows is a laughter riot mixed with all sorts of emotions and of course, plenty of action, leading up to the point, where we discover why Captain Marvel is crucial in the war against Thanos and why Fury died while trying to use a pager!
Even though you can guess a lot of the plot from the get-go, there are still plenty of surprises and twists to leave you guessing till the end. Oh yes, we also learn how Fury lost his eye and why Avengers Initiative is called, Avengers Initiative!
So if you are a Marvel fan or loved the Avengers series, make sure to watch Captain Marvel, else you would be missing out on a lot of crucial pieces of information. Though even as a standalone movie, it is a must watch. And if possible, watch it in a 4Dx theater, it is one of the most perfect movies for the 4Dx experience.
