Avengers: Endgame has to be one of the most if not the most anticipated movies of 2019. I have no qualms in saying this, even though less than half of the year has passed.
Therefore, like any good Marvel Comics Fan, I too waited eagerly for the Avengers: Endgame and now that I have seen it I am perplexed.
Do not get me wrong, Avengers: Endgame is every bit the movie Marvel Fans had hoped for, but only in parts!
It seems stretched out and boring initially, with overplayed emotional card, which fails to invoke emotions most of the time.
The fight scene, when it comes, is fabulous. Hair rising and with enough twists to keep you glued to your seat.
However, compared to the actual length of the movie, it seems woefully inadequate.
With clever bit of editing, the movie would have been a home run with around 120 mins of run time. However, it is stretched out to 181 minutes and even as an Avenger and Marvel fan, I feel it is atrocious!
There is a lot to like about the movie, but it fails to live up to the expectation. Yet, it is a must watch for all the Marvel fans.
If that does not sound confusing enough, wait until you learn about the death of the key characters. I do not think anyone anticipated their death or wished to see them die. Yet, the characters we would have happily seen fade away; end up with a happy life.
Well, life is not fair and neither is the ending of Avengers: Endgame. However, it is what it is.
